Matthew Tumaliuan was born in Orlando, Florida on August 2, 1983. Born into a Navy family, he moved around many times throughout his childhood. In 1996, he and his family finally settled in Port Orchard, Washington.

Throughout his life, Matthew had aspirations to become an actor. He expressed this passion by being an active member of his local community theaters. He enjoyed not only acting on stage, but helping back stage as well.

Matthew had many talents, including writing, singing, songwriting, and drawing to name a few. Using these talents to bring joy to others was one of his many gifts.

One of the most important aspects of Matthew’s life was his faith. Born and raised in the Catholic faith, his love for Jesus Christ, God, and the church were extremely important to him. He not only celebrated his faith, he lived it and showed it to others through his boundless kindness, patience, and generosity.

On January 16, 2014, while surrounded by his closest family, Matthew Tumaliuan was called to return to God’s kingdom. Although his time on this earth was short, his life and his light will be remembered for all time.
